4 Squares to show seasons

Another way I show if the children understand each season is to have them label a piece of paper with spring, summer, fall, and winter.  Everyone is encouraged to draw a picture and write a sentence about their illustration.

Tree pictures to show season changes

In Illinois, we are lucky to see all four seasons.  My kiddos love to watch the trees change over the course of the school year.  At the beginning of the year my kids choose a tree that they would like to "adopt" as our tree for the year.  As the year goes on, we take pictures in front of our tree.  As we see the changes in the tree, we talk about the changes for each season.  It's a great way to start our discussion and the kids LOVE it!

I always come home from school and tell my husband the interesting things that have happened that day.  He usually responds, "You should write a book about it."  So I've decided to do the next best thing~ start a blog!

I don't think I'm so important that everyone should read about my life at school or at home, but just in case I decide to write a book, I'll have everything already written down for me.  I hope to put all of my favorite sayings, lesson plans, and ideas for the classroom on my blog.

If anyone has any advice for me... please share.  I am VERY new to the online thing, so I will take all the help I can get!
